Re: Bicycle WWII

The number of typos in the project description is another red flag for me, and I find it difficult to believe that there's ever going to be a Bicycle-branded deck with a back design featuring a swastika. It's an interesting idea, but just way too ambitious to try to do all the countries at once. Eve...

Re: Help! What deck was in this shredded envelope?

Never mind, all--mystery solved. I just noticed that the post office's sticker seemed to be concealing another mark, and after carefully pealing it back I recognized it as the logo from the "Ink Spot Cat" playing cards campaign on Kickstarter. This wasn't a great deck to begin with; I'd pl...

Help! What deck was in this shredded envelope?

Today's mail brought me a mystery. It's a plain, flat, white envelope, 5 inches by 8 inches. My address is written on the front, along with a customs declaration sticker indicating the envelope was mailed from Great Britain. In the space for contents is written "Playing Cards" with a state...

Re: Bicycle Red Plastic Cup

Apologies if this is old news. I ordered some decks from Bicycle's Spring Cleaning Sale, including this one. I just got the package, and the front of the tuck now says "Red Party Cup," not "Red Plastic Cup." The picture on Bicycle's site definitely still says "Plastic,"...

Re: Sharks, Presidents, and Cyclists

I saw Coral and Indigo at my local Walmart (central Indiana) on Monday--but could only find one of each. The fact that they don't seem to be on P52 yet leads me to think they're just starting to surface.

Re: New Postage Increases in U.S. January 17

I understand that getting political is probably frowned upon here, but if you're upset about this and you live in the US it might be worth contacting your Congressional representatives about. There's nothing accidental about this. The Postal Service is being deliberately sabotaged by Republicans who...

Re: Black Lions from David Blaine - Now available

Lord knows I don't want to get political here, but don't blame the Post Office. They've been choked for funding for years by Congress in a deliberate effort to tilt the playing field in favor of private carriers.

So if I'm already backing Grinders, I just add $4 to my pledge?

Re: The "Hey, look what I added to my collection!" thread

Came home from a Thanksgiving vacation during which I picked up a few cheap tourist decks to find that several orders I'd placed had come in. Here's the total haul . . .

Re: ICONS Imperial Demo edition noon Friday - 150 more decks

Same here--interpreting this to mean that orders are open, I placed one. Actually, I accidentally placed two, clicking on something I shouldn't have when I was supposed to be waiting for the page to refresh. Can someone cancel the second order?

Apologies if I've done anything wrong here.

All right, the one in the bottom right didn't come from a thrift store. :D

Re: The "Hey, look what I added to my collection!" thread

I'm sure there's nothing here to impress, but as a fledgling collector I've just made my first thrift store hunt and found these. http://i.imgur.com/aOaQKg5.jpg Though the cards are cheaply made and bridge sized, I kind of like the Greenlawn decks. One deck has green printing on the back, the other ...

Very pleased to see the project cross the $13K mark with eight hours to go, and hopefully it will go higher yet before the clock runs out. I really like the court cards in this deck.

Re: New Collector from Indiana

So I feel like an idiot, but how do I post pictures? I tried posting the picture to Imgur and then pasting the URL into the the tags that pop up when you click "Img" at the top of the message, but that didn't seem to work. What obvious thing am I missing? The general instructions in the FA...

New Collector from Indiana

Hello, all, and thanks for letting me join the community. I live in Indiana, and I'm a brand new collector anxious to learn about my new hobby. I've always liked playing cards, but the seeds for what's happened to me over the past month were probably planted earlier this year when I was lucky enough...
